What is it?

Chaga, sometimes called “The Gold of the Forest” is a Birch tree canker formed by the fungus Inonotus Obliquus. People have been using Chaga for around 1000 years, and its positive effects have been confirmed by modern science. It is the most antioxidant-rich food on the ORAC scale containing 45x more antioxidants than Acai berries. Chaga is a natural biogenous stimulant, this means it activates the body’s metabolic process, stimulates the work of all the body’s systems, accelerates rehabilitation processes in organs and tissues, and strengthens the protection against harmful pollutants. This leads to benefits like: Slowing the aging process, boosting the immune system, reducing inflammation, supporting digestive health, and much more*. The most common way to consume Chaga is by making a tea or a concentrate known as a tincture. Luckily it tastes nothing like a mushroom and possesses an earthy almost vanilla flavor. It’s great when combined with coffee or chai and is growing in popularity around the US.

Order some from us today and get it shipped straight from the Alaskan wilderness to your doorstep. It makes for a great addition to your tea collection or as a gift to a loved one.

Why order from us?

Our Chaga is sustainably sourced, processed, and packaged in Alaska by Alaskans. Denali Chaga is a small company started by a couple of friends who grew up in Alaska and have a passion for foraging and environmental protection. The goal of our company is to share this unique medicine while promoting sustainable and environment-friendly harvesting to keep Chaga available and affordable for the foreseeable future. We also pride ourselves on safe processing methods and crush all our Chaga by hand. This is strenuous and time-consuming but it guarantees there will be no metal shavings in our tea. Many Chaga companies use industrial meat grinders or hammer mills that contain metal blades that dull over time. These machines are able to grind down Chaga fast, but effectively render the final product useless because of the amount of fine metal that gets added into the mix. Beware of big Chaga companies!

Important info on the preparation of Chaga tea:

At high temperatures, most of Chaga's beneficial compounds can be lost. So if you want to get the most out of your Chaga, do not boil it. Remember, 80° C /176° F is the max temperature for brewing Chaga tea.

* We sell our Chaga as an herbal supplement and do not claim that it can cure or treat any specific disease. These statements have not been evaluated by the FDA.
